Owned and operated by Eric Bishop - Eric is an ISA Certified Arborist and NM Director of the RMC-ISA.

The Beginning

A little about Eric’s Tree Care….Eric Bishop, ISA Certified Arborist, started his business in the late 90’s. He began Eric’s Tree Care as a result of working with another tree service with untrained employees, their use of illegal drugs and improper pruning of trees. And less than adequate safety standards on jobs sites for life or property.

He wanted to make a difference in the Care of Trees in the Albuquerque market and ventured on his own, one customer at a time building a business that is dedicated to the proper pruning of our customers’ trees. In 2000 he became an LLC and then in 2008 and S-Corp. In 2005 Joe and Diane came on to assist Eric in the continued growth of the business. Together we committed to offer the best customer service to each and every customer from start to finish.

Why does this make a difference?

As an arborist and business owner he applies the principals of the International Society of Arboriculture; using the ANSI A300 To educate our customers and others interested in a career in Tree Care. Because trees take a long time to grow we encourage keeping your trees healthy and properly pruned so they will bring years of shade, beauty to your home and property. We are committed to helping each and every customer to maintain their trees.

What is an Arborist? (From the ISA Website)

“Certified Arborists are individuals who have achieved a level of knowledge in the art and science of tree care through experience and by passing a comprehensive examination developed by some of the nation’s leading experts on tree care. Certified Arborists must also continue their education to maintain their certification and adhere to a Code of Ethics. Therefore, they are more likely to be up to date on the latest techniques in arboriculture.

Becoming an ISA Certified Arborist is a voluntary process through which individuals can measure their knowledge and competence required to provide proper tree care. ISA Certification is not government-sponsored or government-endorsed; it is administered by the International Society of Arboriculture as a way for tree care professionals to demonstrate their commitment to the profession and the industry.

Certification is not a measure of standards of practice. Certification can attest to the tree knowledge of an individual but cannot guarantee or ensure quality performance.” (http://www.isa-arbor.com/publicOutreach/whyHireCertifiedArborist/index.aspx)

Eric in his business encourages and trains each employee to attain certification. Why Hire Eric’s Tree Care?

We are professionals, fully licensed and skilled –

We know that this is an investment for long term care, and can be costly. So don’t always accept the low bid.

You should examine the credentials and the written specifications of the company that submitted estimates and determine the best combination of price, work to be done, skill, and professionalism to protect your investment.

Keep in mind that good arborists will perform only accepted practices. For example, practices such as topping a tree, removing an excessive amount of live wood, using climbing spikes on trees that are not being removed, and removing or disfiguring living trees without just cause are unnecessary.

Be wary of individuals who go door to door and offer bargains for performing tree work. Most reputable companies are too busy to solicit work in this manner. Improper tree care can take many years to correct itself and, in some cases, it can never be corrected. Are you willing to take that risk with your valuable investment?

And Safety is always a priority on each job, this means that each person on the crew will were all the Personal Protective Equipment on the job site. Use safety barriers were it is deemed necessary.
